The gate network expanded, but not all who used it came in peace. Captain Elena Vasquez stood on the bridge of the Odyssey, watching a fleet of unknown ships emerge from a newly activated gate.
"Command, this is Vasquez. We have incoming hostiles."

The Luminari leader appeared beside her. "They are the Krael. A warlike species. They have conquered a dozen galaxies."
Elena's jaw tightened. "Then we stop them here."
